'I felt like I was wearing an enormous cloud'
'I love this dress,' she told MailOnline. 'I wore this yesterday and it's really comfortable, really summery, I love how it has a romantic feel. You know, I like to challenge myself each season and when I first thought of this dress, I thought how can we make this flattering,' she said. 'How can we make this feel sexy, with such volume. And I think we've achieved it really well - I think it's a very cool dress.'
The secret to the frock's success, Mrs Beckham reveals, is a secret crinoline.
'It. . . means that you can get that beautiful shape around the drop waist - it's actually silk cloque,' she explained.
'This created quite a storm when I went out in it yesterday,' she said. 'I popped into a couple of shops and people were like, "Oh my God, we love your dress!"
'I felt like I was wearing an enormous cloud - but it was very comfortable and actually it feels really light, and also really flattering.' 'Do you know how nice it was to step into that cloud yesterday? And just go?' she said. 'It was so nice, and I didn't feel self-conscious at all - and the proportions are right: if you play with the volume, get the proportions right, it can be extremely flattering.
'It's very easy to get it very wrong, but that's my aim, it's to make sure that women can feel comfortable wearing volume, but also feel confident and feel sexy.'
