David Beckham and the L.A. Galaxy were at the Rogers Centre to take on the Toronto FC in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League quarter-final series. A sell-out crowd of 47,658 people were in attendance to watch the TFC's biggest game in franchise history.

Before the match//Antes del juego, David Beckham comenta a la prensa que uno siempre quiere jugar en un estadio con tanta capacidad como el de Toronto Fc, sin importar si los fans son del equipo propio o del contrincante. Incluso, es mejor que la mayoría de fans sean del equipo contrario, porque eso da mayor satisfacción al ganar, y espera que eso ocurra en el juego:
