David Beckham is launching a new collection of designer thermal underwear, also known as "long johns."
The L.A. Galaxy soccer star wants to give the old-fashioned items a makeover, which will hit stores in February 2012 just in time for Valentine's Day.
"The underwear is totally my designs, and are things that I like to wear," Beckham told U.K. newspaper The Sun.
And while some think of the waffle-knit undies as what you wear beneath a snowsuit, the 36-year-old Brit sports them in a different capacity.
"I sometimes wear them to go to sleep -- they're very cool," added Beckham.
