False alarm of 4th of July

While America celebrates Independence Day it was thought that the Beckhams would be welcoming their baby girl into the world.
But despite claims that Victoria Beckham had already given birth, MailOnline can confirm that the Beckhams are not expecting their daughter until next week.

A spokesperson for the Beckhams told MailOnline: 'The rumours are rubbish, Victoria has not had the baby but she will be giving birth soon.
It was widely reported that the 37-year-old fashion designer had booked into an L.A. hospital to undergo a Caesarean section on the Fourth of July holiday.
But today David’s publicist, Simon Oliveira revealed on Twitter that the couple were never expecting their baby on the American holiday.

He tweeted: ‘Contrary to certain reports, David and Victoria Beckham's baby is not due today and that was never the case....’
However it appears the couple's fans were over eager and took to Twitter with rumours circulated that Victoria had given birth to a girl with details even claiming the weight and name of the baby to be 5lbs 8oz and Felicity Beckham.

However the rumours were simply a false alarm and a spokesperson has told MailOnline that the Beckhams are expecting their daughter next week.

In May a spokesperson for Mrs Beckham told MailOnline: 'It is no secret that Victoria will be having her baby in the U.S. - we will not be confirming the date although early July is correct.’

But at a press conference for his LA Galaxy team at the weekend David had seemed to suggest that their baby girl would be arriving today and said: ‘We got married on the Fourth of July, 12 years ago, Monday, so it's a special day for us, it always has been and always will be.’

He also said it was a new experience having so much pink in the house with their three boys.

David said: ‘We're really excited. You know, it's a whole new different thing for us. To have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house, and dresses... All the clothes [are] ready, the room's ready, so we're all ready for it and all excited.’

Victoria, who has announced she will launch a line of ultra-feminine dresses called Victoria by Victoria Beckham this week, has been seeking inspiration for her daughter's wardrobe from European fashions.

The former singer admitted she had been putting together a wardrobe and said: ‘But not in an obnoxious way at all. I love the French clothes for little girls. I like little girls to look like little girls.’

The soon to be mother-of-four has also revealed she is planning to ditch formula milk and breast feed her new daughter instead.

The mother to Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six, is said to have decided she wants to feed her fourth child naturally when she arrives this week.

She has reportedly told a friend she wants everything to be different this time and us taking several months off work to care for her longed for daughter.

According to the Daily Mirror, she told a friend: 'I'm doing everything differently this time. I want it all to be natural and perfect for my little girl.'
