DAVID Beckham has insisted he is happy at LA Galaxy, despite a backlash from furious fans.
The England midfielder, who had to be restrained from lashing out at a man in the crowd just one week after a confrontation with spectators, maintained he has the support of everyone who matters at the Major League Soccer club.
But the 34-year-old, who has just returned from a five-month spell on loan with AC Milan, admitted clashes with jeering fans are a "distraction for me and the team."
He said: "The team have done well to deal with the situation and I’ve got the support of the players - that’s the most important thing, to have the support of the team, owners and management.
“I’m happy to be playing for this team and I'm enjoying it''
He added: “I’ve got a slight back pain but it’s not a problem.
“I’ve done some work in the gym and unless I get a bad reaction, I think it’ll be fine.
"Fingers crossed it’ll be good.”
